LATEST FIRE INFORMATION – UPDATED WEDNESDAY JULY 9 AT 6:30AM HIGHWAY INFO-

Highway 32 (Lassen National Forest)is closed due to fire danger from 13 miles East of Forest Ranch to the Highway 36 Junction. Further closures in the Lassen Forest are now in place. Click here for further closures

Highway 70 IS CLOSED FROM 11.8 MI WEST OF THE BUTTE/PLUMAS CO LINE TO THE JCT OF SR 89 /THE GREENVILLE WYE/ (PLUMAS CO)

SHASTA COUNTY INCIDENTS:

More evacuations were announced yesterday for residents in Igo/Ono near the Moon Fire and residents near the southern edge of the Motion Fire.

Moon Fire-The community of Ono and other areas west of Igo are under mandatory evacuation orders. Areas included are North and West of Placer road at Cloverdale Road to Clear Creek Road, Gas Point Road and Lower Gas Point Road, Bully choop Road to Platina Road, South Fork Road, Bender Road, Archer Road, Zogg Mine Road, Rainbow Lake Road, Buell Road, Bland Road, and the Trinity Alps Reserve area.

Motion Fire-Rock Creek Road and the Old Shasta area were evacuated yesterday afternoon. The evacuation area includes Rock Creek from Highway 299 to Iron Mountain Road and Benson Road, including all intersecting roads.

An evacuation center has been set up at the Shasta Learning Center on Eureka Way in Redding.

53,877 acres burned with 65% containment. 1560 fire personnel working on the blazes.

Motion Fire -9,008 acres, 45% containment.

Moon Fire – 17,598, 55% contained –

Deerlick Fire – 12,701 90% contained

SHASTA-TRINITY NATIONAL FOREST

Iron Complex – 16 fires, 28,895 acres burned, 50% containment. 1,054 personnel

Lime Complex – 70 Fires, burned 44,774 acres, 68% containment, with 990 fire personnel

Alps Complex – 11 fires, 816 acres, 80% containment. 98 fire personnel working the complex

LASSEN COUNTY:

The Cub Complex southwest of Chester has burned 11,144 acres, is 75% contained with 951 fire personnel.

WHISKEYTOWN NATIONAL PARK:

Whiskeytown Fires – 5,130 acres, 50% containment. Total of 448 firefighters/staff. Continuing to monitor fires and make sure containment continues. Many services and resources at the park may not be available due to the park being used as a staging area for firefighters. Please be cautious and aware of fire crews, equipment, and movement.

BUTTE COUNTY: 47,000 acres – 40% overall containment.
