How Do You Forget….For An Hour?!?!

Talk about the race card! How does Chris “tingle up my leg” Matthews get away with this racist crap?

And I would like to point out to Chrissy, Obama is not half black, he’s half white, 24% arab, and 26% black. That makes him sorta milk choclatey… maybe he belongs in New Orleans with Ray Nagin.

If any conservative, or even a RINO had spouted this crap it would be front page news!

Maybe BHO issued Chrissy one of these when he heard about his tingle.

A Tale From Two Papers

Bernanke: Recession may end in ’09; Stocks climb

From the Associated Press

NEW YORK – Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has reassured Wall Street by telling Congress the recession might end this year.

In his semiannual report to the Senate Banking Committee, Bernanke predicted the economy is likely to keep contracting in the first six months of 2009. But he also said “there is a reasonable prospect” the recession will end this year. He warned that a recovery will require getting credit and financial markets to operate normally.

While Bernanke’s assessment of the economy helped ease some pressure on the market, it also came after days of heavy selling that left the Dow Jones industrial average and the Standard & Poor’s 500 index near 12-year lows, so a bounce in stocks wasn’t a surprise. Stocks made cheaper by the selloff attracted bargain-hunting traders. Also, some, better-than-expected quarterly numbers from Home Depot Inc. helped cool some anxiety about the economy. source

Now here’s Reuters’ story on the same subject, same day.

Bernanke fears recession could extend to 2010

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke warned on Tuesday the “severe” U.S. recession may drag into 2010 unless the government succeeds in stabilizing the banking system and financial markets with strong action.

Delivering a somber assessment to lawmakers, Bernanke said the fast-shrinking economy risked entering a mutually reinforcing cycle of weak growth and financial market strain.

“To break the adverse feedback loop, it is essential that we continue to complement fiscal stimulus with strong government action to stabilize financial institutions and financial markets,” he told the Senate Banking Committee.  source

Nooooo, they don’t make the news, they only report it.

AP Finally Sees The Carbon Credit Scam

ungore

The world is slowly awakening from its Kool-Aid induced coma, and more people are realizing the scam that Al Gore and the U N are pulling with this carbon credit scheme. Even the mainstream media is picking up on the truth. If the Associated Press will print this, maybe there is hope for us after all.

XIAOXI, China – The hydroelectric dam, a low wall of concrete slicing across an old farming valley, is supposed to help a power company in distant Germany contribute to saving the climate — while putting lucrative “carbon credits” into the pockets of Chinese developers.

But in the end the new Xiaoxi dam may do nothing to lower global-warming emissions as advertised. And many of the 7,500 people displaced by the project still seethe over losing their homes and farmland.

“Nobody asked if we wanted to move,” said a 38-year-old man whose family lost a small brick house. “The government just posted a notice that said, ‘Your home will be demolished.’”

The dam will shortchange German consumers, Chinese villagers and the climate itself, if critics are right. And Xiaoxi is not alone.

Similar stories are repeated across China and elsewhere around the world, as hundreds of hydro projects line up for carbon credits, at a potential cost of billions to Europeans, Japanese and soon perhaps Americans, in a trading system a new U.S. government review concludes has “uncertain effects” on greenhouse-gas emissions.

One American expert is more blunt.

“The CDM” — the 4-year-old, U.N.-managed Clean Development Mechanism — “is an excessive subsidy that represents a massive waste of developed world resources,” says Stanford University’s Michael Wara.

Forced relocations have become common in China as people in hundreds of communities are moved to clear land for factories and other projects, provoking anger and occasionally violent protests. But what happened here is unusual in highlighting not just the human costs, but also the awkward fit between China’s authoritarian system, in which complaints of official abuse abound, and Western environmental ideals.

Those ideals produced the Clean Development Mechanism as a market-based tool under the Kyoto Protocol, the 1997 agreement to combat climate change. The CDM allows industrial nations, required by Kyoto to reduce emissions of gases blamed for global warming, to comply by paying developing nations to cut their emissions instead.

I’m hoping someday soon Al Gore will be prosecuted for the fraud that he is. But I’m not holding my breath, he’s been a fraud all his life.

PEBO is still getting the kid glove treatment. This crap has got to stop….send in the dogs!!

As I watched President Bush’s final tango with reporters this morning, I was reminded of how Chicago Sun-Times columnist Carol Marin described President-elect Obama’s press conferences thus far:

“As ferociously as we march like villagers with torches against Blagojevich, we have been, in the true spirit of the Bizarro universe, the polar opposite with the president-elect. Deferential, eager to please, prepared to keep a careful distance.

The Obama news conferences tell that story, making one yearn for the return of the always-irritating Sam Donaldson to awaken the slumbering press to the notion that decorum isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

The press corps, most of us, don’t even bother raising our hands any more to ask questions because Obama always has before him a list of correspondents who’ve been advised they will be called upon that day.

How long will the Obama-friendly press corps, no matter how “deferential” and “eager to please,” tolerate such tight management?

Ya know….on second thought, even Obama doesn’t deserve that.

Sarah Talks About Media Bias. With Video

Excerpts from an upcoming documentary by John Ziegler via the great new site Big Hollywood.

Written by: John Ziegler – January 7th, 2009

If someone told me five months ago that in early January I would pay over $1,400 for an incredibly inconvenient plane ticket and $120 for a 3 a.m. cab fare to get from sunny Los Angeles to Wasilla, Alaska, I would have told them there was a better chance the Dow Jones would be below 9,000 and a gallon of gas less than two dollars.

If they would have told me I’d be glad to have made the journey (even with a seven-hour, weather-aided stop in Seattle), I would have told them Sarah Palin had a better chance to be John McCain’s running-mate. Of course, as we all now know this turned out to be true. And even though I still have the flu I got just before the trip, I’m thrilled to have experienced minus-eleven degrees in Alaska.

Obviously, I was there to interview Governor Palin for my forthcoming documentary about the media coverage of election 2008. My understanding is that the only reason Governor Palin did this interview (while rejecting hundreds of other requests) is because of her sincere devotion to setting the record straight on what really happened during the campaign and to determine why the news coverage was as dangerously slanted as it so clearly was.

Largely because of absurd claims by Democrats that she was violating ethics rules by answering campaign questions on state grounds (one of several ways in which the Democrats in Alaska, who used to love her, are now fully invested in the “take Sarah Palin down” industry), we did the interview at the Palin home. At 9 a.m., without a security guard or handler in sight, Bristol Palin, eight days removed from giving birth, politely answered the door and Governor Palin, not yet fully put together, rushed out to tell myself and my crew to make ourselves at home.

Be sure to check out the comments at the end of the article. The liberal attack dogs are still out there, and they are scared.

The Lies Just Get Bigger

Since NBC has declared it “Green Week” the lies have to be bigger just to make sure everyone is properly misinformed.

pinocchio

Yesterday, Today Show co-host Meredith Vieira told viewers that global warming could cause sea levels to rise 200 feet. But that’s not what the experts are saying. Under its worst-case scenario, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change predicts that Sea levels would rise by 27 inches over the next 100 years. So, Meredith was off by 99%.

Today, Meredith conducted an interview with an Antarctic ecosystem ecologist, who said that the bad news is that ice was melting on one side of Antarctica. Meredith then asked whether it was good news that ice mass was increasing on the other side of Antarctica. The ecologist replied that it was indeed bad news, because increasing ice meant that animals had to travel further to get food. When it comes to global warming, there can be no upside, at least not during Green Week.

But let’s not forget GE owns NBC, so they get in some advertising with Al Roker.

Today Show weatherman Al Roker reported from Iceland, and he did a segment on that island’s success with geothermal energy. He finished his piece by noting that the U.S. could get 10 percent of its energy needs from clean, geothermal energy. Conveniently, General Electric, which owns NBC, just so happens to be a leader in the manufacture of conventional open cycle steam turbines used for geothermal power.

As always, Follow The Money. Which is exactly why they must keep the myth alive.

More Media Bias by The ASSociated Press

With all of the dirty dealings by Obama with ACORN, Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, Resko etc. the jackels at ASSociated Press find that Sarah Palin may have spent $21,000 on her family while governor. Do you think this is just a little over the top? This gives a whole new meaning to “In The Tank For Obama”.

By BRETT J. BLACKLEDGE, ADAM GOLDMAN and MATT APUZZO, Associated Press Writers

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Gov. Sarah Palin charged the state for her children to travel with her, including to events where they were not invited, and later amended expense reports to specify that they were on official business.

The charges included costs for hotel and commercial flights for three daughters to join Palin to watch their father in a snowmobile race, and a trip to New York, where the governor attended a five-hour conference and stayed with 17-year-old Bristol for five days and four nights in a luxury hotel.

In all, Palin has charged the state $21,012 for her three daughters’ 64 one-way and 12 round-trip commercial flights since she took office in December 2006. In some other cases, she has charged the state for hotel rooms for the girls.

Alaska law does not specifically address expenses for a governor’s children. The law allows for payment of expenses for anyone conducting official state business.

They don’t know what the law is, but they’re sure she broke it. No coverage of Obama’s dirty dealings. No coverage of Biden’s many lies and gaffes. Was this part of the Wasilla posse that was sent to dig dirt on Sarah? And This is all they can come up with? What a sorry excuse for a news outlet. I can’t find one story from AP on Biden’s Latest Gaffe.

The rest of this piece of crap story can be found here.

American Thinker has the story also.

Bawney Fwank’s Boyfriend Was Fannie Mae Exec.

But will the Lame Stream Media notice?

WASHINGTON —  Unqualified home buyers were not the only ones who benefitted from Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank’s efforts to deregulate Fannie Mae throughout the 1990s.

So did Frank’s partner, a Fannie Mae executive at the forefront of the agency’s push to relax lending restrictions.

Now that Fannie Mae is at the epicenter of a financial meltdown that threatens the U.S. economy, some are raising new questions about Frank’s relationship with Herb Moses, who was Fannie’s assistant director for product initiatives. Moses worked at the government-sponsored enterprise from 1991 to 1998, while Frank was on the House Banking Committee, which had jurisdiction over Fannie.

Both Frank and Moses assured the Wall Street Journal in 1992 that they took pains to avoid any conflicts of interest. Critics, however, remain skeptical.

“It’s absolutely a conflict,” said Dan Gainor, vice president of the Business & Media Institute. “He was voting on Fannie Mae at a time when he was involved with a Fannie Mae executive. How is that not germane?

“If this had been his ex-wife and he was Republican, I would bet every penny I have – or at least what’s not in the stock market – that this would be considered germane,” added Gainor, a T. Boone Pickens Fellow. “But everybody wants to avoid it because he’s gay. It’s the quintessential double standard.”

A top GOP House aide agreed.

“C’mon, he writes housing and banking laws and his boyfriend is a top exec at a firm that stands to gain from those laws?” the aide told FOX News. “No media ever takes note? Imagine what would happen if Frank’s political affiliation was R instead of D? Imagine what the media would say if [GOP former] Chairman [Mike] Oxley’s wife or [GOP presidential nominee John] McCain’s wife was a top exec at Fannie for a decade while they wrote the nation’s housing and banking laws.”

Frank’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Frank met Moses in 1987, the same year he became the first openly gay member of Congress.

“I am the only member of the congressional gay spouse caucus,” Moses wrote in the Washington Post in 1991. “On Capitol Hill, Barney always introduces me as his lover.”

The two lived together in a Washington home until they broke up in 1998, a few months after Moses ended his seven-year tenure at Fannie Mae, where he was the assistant director of product initiatives. According to National Mortgage News, Moses “helped develop many of Fannie Mae’s affordable housing and home improvement lending programs.”

No conflict of interest? What a “Crap Sandwich” that is.

Fred Thompson: Sarah Is Qualified

The man does have a way with words.

When John McCain selected Governor Sarah Palin, as his running mate, the Democrats and their far-left constituency let out a primal scream that could be heard from sea to shining sea. How dare he choose someone that they and their pals in the media had not had a chance to vet (i.e. libel, slander, and otherwise and otherwise eviscerate). Ah, but it was not too late. These seekers of “a new kind of politics” poured torrents of malicious abuse upon her and her family.

Plane loads of scandal mongers, lawyers and other truth seekers became more numerous in Alaska than the polar bear, as they rallied local Democrats and disgruntled Republicans to their cause.

Here was a woman who chose to have children and a career. Aging Washington socialites weighed in with newly discovered sensitivity for mothers with careers outside the home. Here was a woman who became upset because her ex-brother-in-law had tasered her nephew and threatened her father. The Democrats and their friends had to save the country from a woman like this.

Governor Palin’s every comment was scrutinized by the media and judged against what Jefferson or Lincoln might have said. Never mind that her counterpart, the 30-year-Washington-veteran Joe Biden, apparently is unaware that America relies upon coal for a lot of it’s electricity or that he recently referred to a top level U.S. official’s visit to Iran that never happened. That’s just Joe being Joe – protected by the sheer number of his gaffes and the fact that he is Barack Obama’s running mate.

For a while there it seems the fact that so many uninformed yahoos (average people) love her was going to drive the main stream media nuts. They had a hard time grasping the fact that people like her because she is precisely the kind of politician that everyone has been saying they’ve wanted: Independent, not a captive of the Beltway including a Congress with a 9% approval rating, who will take on hacks of either party; who has the tenacity to win and the courage to fight for the long-term benefit of those she represents.

Apparently what no one counted on was that a politician like this would actually show up on the national scene. The media was caught by surprise. The media doesn’t like surprises.

Naturally, there was a backlash to the treatment of Governor Palin and cooler-headed critics have largely concentrated on what they claim is her lack of qualifications. Of course much of the criticism of her qualifications reveals the application of the same old double standard. Less accomplished governors in times past have been considered to be perfectly “well-qualified” as VP picks.

Will Sarah Get A Fair Chance In Debate?

Not Likely. They don’t even hide their bias anymore. From Human Events.

Whether or not this may be the “Age of Obama,” no one who has a financial interest in the outcome of the election — as does PBS’ Gwen Ifill — should be permitted to moderate any debate in the campaign season.

Ifill, who is scheduled to moderate the important debate tomorrow night between Republican Sarah Palin and Democrat Joe Biden, has a conflict of interest that, by even the most rudimentary ethical standards of journalism, must preclude her from moderating or even reporting on the debate.

Ifill is the author of “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama,” a new book scheduled for release on Inauguration Day. Its Amazon.com promotional statement says, “In ‘The Breakthrough,’ veteran journalist Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power.”

We are used to liberal bias in the media, and it’s questionable if PBS can even find among its journalists someone who approaches an unbiased point of view. Nevertheless, Ifill has a financial interest in the outcome of the election. If Obama wins, she wins greater book sales and thus greater income from royalties. This, by any standard, is a disqualifying conflict of interest.

Ifill must be removed from the moderator’s slot — today — and replaced by someone who at the very least does not have a financial interest in the outcome of tomorrow night’s debate.

But I’m betting she will do just fine even with the media against her. Go Saracuda!!

The Media Loves Obama

Still think the media isn’t in love with Obama? Think again. A thrill running up his leg….  what a pud.

And take a look at this.

An analysis of federal records shows that the amount of money contributed during this election cycle by journalists favors Democrats over Republicans by a margin of 15 to one.

Investor’s Business Daily reports 235 journalists have donated more than $225,000 to Democrats and just 20 journalists have given around $16,000 to Republicans.

An even greater disparity — 20 to one — exists between the number of journalists who have donated to Barack Obama over John McCain.

Individuals who are employed by major media organizations have given more than $315,000 to Democrats and about $23,000 to Republicans.
